Keeping Us Busy!

Little Lukey Bear turns 10 months old on Wednesday! It seems crazy that he is that old already, but at the same time, it feels like he has always been a part of our family. He is certainly keeping us busy these days!! He pulls up on everything, cruises all over the house, crawls really fast, climbs anywhere he is able to reach, finds lots of things to get into. He loves moving and playing! He walks really well with his push toys. He did take one step a little over a week ago. We were seeing if he would take some steps by sending him between Matt and me. He did it once, but we haven't been able to get him to do it again. He doesn't really seem too interested.

Luke loves climbing!! And he is pretty good at it. He discovered climbing by climbing onto Ella's bench that sits in front of her toy box and then onto her toy box. Now he climbs onto her bed, onto her rocking chair, onto Andrew's Packers recliner, the picnic table, our chairs when the cushions are off, our Little Tikes slide, and anything else he can find. He also learned to climb the stairs, so if there are ever any around, he doesn't want to stay away.

Luke is definitely active, but he is also starting to say words. He says Mama, Dada, Ella (El-lala), and out fairly regularly. He has also said uh-oh, more, and hello a few times. I don't think Andrew and Ella said that many words so early.

He still loves to eat! He is mostly on finger foods now. He doesn't really like for us to feed him anymore. He tries to steal the spoon and just spits back at us. Today I tried to feed him applesauce and with every bite, he stuck his tongue out and blew a raspberry. Then he looked at me with the biggest smile and let out a laugh. It was hard not to laugh at him! He eats mostly what we eat, as long as it is soft and cut up. He loves fruits just like Andrew and Ella. He likes veggies too, except green beans.

Other things to note: He has both bottom teeth, still loves his baths and swimming, laughs and smiles all the time, still lovey....gives kisses and hugs, waves, loves dancing, music, playing with Andrew and Ella, pat-a-cake, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and his binky!

Another side note....at his 9 month check up, he was 18 pounds 5 ounces (10th percentile) and 28 inches (just below 50th percentile).

This is one of Luke's favorite things to do these days. He climbs right up, turns himself around, and sits in Ella's cradle chair. It's so cute to be walking by Ella's room and see him just sitting there. Definitely a remembrance of how big he is!
