Andrew and Ella were sent to their rooms earlier this week because they weren't behaving. They weren't fighting or being mean; they were being ornery together. I put them in their rooms and shut the door. Ella, of course, cried and threw a fit. After a few seconds of Ella not stopping, I heard Andrew yelling (in a concerned way) through his door, "It's okay, Ella. Ella, it's okay." It was so sweet.
On a similar note, though, putting them in their rooms is usually effective with them. Whether they are fighting and being mean to each other or teaming up to be mischievous, separating them for a while and putting them somewhere quiet works well. Sometimes so well, I'm afraid to let them out. :)
