Andrew has been a great big brother! He loves Luke. The first thing he wants to do when he wakes up in the morning and gets home from school is hold Baby Luke. He always wants to see Luke and then says, "Awww, he's so cute". Andrew has been a great helper. He will hold Luke if Luke is just needing to be held and I'm trying to do something else. He gets Luke his binky, diapers, wipes, blankets. If Luke is awake, he wants to hold him or talk to him. (Andrew and Ella both tend to crowd him little too much, though.) Andrew tries to show him things on TV and books. When Luke cries, Andrew is always there to try to help....giving him his binky or saying, "Shhh, shhh, it's okay Baby Luke." It has been really fun to watch Andrew with Luke and see how much he loves him. It will be a lot of fun to watch their relationship develop. Andrew has lots of plans to teach Luke to hunt, fish, play tractors, and ride a bike.
At first, every time Andrew held Luke, he wanted me to take his picture, so we have lots of pictures of Andrew and Luke. Here are just a few (mostly from Luke's first week....I haven't downloaded pics for a while):
Andrew insisted that Luke have his picture taken with Haley and Doggie.
This is one of my favorites. Andrew was lying on the couch watching Monsters Inc. with Luke on his chest. So sweet!
