Update on the Chipmunks

Andrew is still in our room for bedtime and nap time, but is doing better. For weeks after we tried to get him back in his room and he had the chipmunk encounter, he couldn't fall asleep on his own and he wouldn't even stay on our floor anymore. He was waking up several times a night crying, telling me he was scared of something, and trying to get in our bed. We had to lay with him until he fell asleep. If we didn't, we went through an hour or more of him coming out of the room crying. We went through several of those nights before he finally would fall asleep on his own. He doesn't really wake up in the night anymore and stays on our floor instead of trying to get in our bed all night. So basically we are back to where we were before we attempted to put him back in his room.

He sleeps on our bed for naps and has to build a pillow tower about 5-6 pillows high. And sleeps on our floor at night. We still have to shut all the doors...our bathroom door, closet, the hall bathroom, and his bedroom. It really doesn't bother that much that he's in our room. There are a few things that would be easier if he would just sleep in his bed, but I'm not sure I want to go through the whole chipmunk terror again. I would like to get him in his bed before he starts preschool in the fall. I guess we'll see how it goes in a couple months.
