This year it seemed that our Halloween celebration was a week long. It was really only 4 days of events, but I had lots of stuff to prepare, so it seemed a lot longer. Our first fun event was Halloween at Stroller Strides. The kids dressed up, we had a Halloween themed class, and after class we trick or treated to the strollers. The moms brought something to share and the kids went from stroller to stroller "trick or treating". We brought activity pads and Dora fruit snacks (to go with our Diego and Dora theme). Here is a picture of all the SS kiddos dressed up:

Thursday we had two big events. Thursday morning was Andrew's Halloween party at preschool. I was a room mother, so I had things to prepare for the party and was there all morning setting up and helping with the party. We had a ghost pudding cup and bug juice for snack. Most of the kids had one or both that they didn't like. I think the "ghosts" and "bugs" scared them because they kept saying they didn't want to eat ghosts and bugs. Then we did a Halloween photo frame. We took a group picture of the kids and Miss Penny at the beginning of class and got it developed at Walgreens. The kids decorated a foam picture frame with Halloween themed stickers. They really enjoyed it. Then we did games - Pin the Nose on the Jack-o-Latern, Bean Bag Toss into Pumpkins, and a Ghost Hunt. The games went over well and we actually had time left over. It was a lot of fun being the room mother, but it was tiring :). Here are a few pics from the party:
Saturday (actual Halloween day) I spent the morning preparing decorations for Trunk or Treat. Around 4:00 we headed to Grammy's house for a quick stop, so she could see everyone's costumes and give the kids their Halloween bags. Then we headed to church for Trunk or Treat, which I posted about below.
Overall, our Halloween was super fun. Busy, but fun. It is a good reminder of how much more fun things are with kids! You get to enjoy everything all over again. Only this time, you get even more joy out of watching your children's faces :).
