Andrew's Truck

This past Sunday Papa came by for his usual weekend visit. He told Andrew to put his shoes on so he could go outside because he had something for him. When we went outside, Papa was getting a motorized utility vehichle (like a Trekker or Gator) out of the back of his truck. (We call it Andrew's "truck" because he knows how to say that.) I actually thought Andrew might be a little scared, but he wasn't. He hopped right in, put the buckle around his waist, and took off. He drove all around the yard, getting out, and then hopping back in and driving. Of course, Tigger rode with him. He looked so cute and big riding it around. He thought it was pretty cool and that he was pretty cool. He had his usual serious face when he was driving, but he would flash a smile when he looked at us.

The battery wasn't real powerful, so we told Andrew we would plug it in and he could ride more after his nap. At 4:00 Andrew still wasn't up from his nap, so I opened the door to his room. When he saw me, he popped up, grabbed his shoes, and ran to the back door. He certainly hadn't forgotten that we said he could ride his truck after his nap. Of course, it was an extremely hot day and neither Matt or I wanted to sit outside, but we did. Andrew LOVES his new truck. He rides it every day and we can hardly get him off of it. He puts his lawn mowers and tools in the bed. He also gets his stuffed animals to ride with him. I definitely think it has been a big success.
