Family Fun

Just a quick blog about some other fun family outings we've had over the last several months!

Grant's Farm. I love Grant's Farm....big enough to spend a few hours there with plenty to do, but not too overwhelming to see everything when you have small children. I purchased a Groupon (great deal!), so we headed there one Saturday afternoon. Aunt Trisha, Uncle Nate, and Remi met up with us there. We fed the goats, watched the elephant show, watched the animal show, ate lunch, had sno cones, rode the carousel, and enjoyed seeing all the animals. The weather was gorgeous too. The kids got a kick out of the birds who talked, roller skated, and flew around during the animal show. Matt enjoyed his free beers. =)

Andrew had a great time feeding the goats. Ella didn't like it so much.

City Garden. This was our first time going to the City Garden, and we loved it! It was so much fun! Next time, we will be bringing our swimsuits though! It was certainly a hot day. The kids had a blast cooling down in all the water fun! We will definitely be heading back at least once this summer.

We couldn't hardly get Andrew out of the fountains. Luke loved them, too! Ella was upset about not having her swim suit, so she wouldn't get that wet.

Luke loves the water! This was his favorite. He wasn't walking yet, so being able to crawl around in just a little bit of water was right up Luke's alley.

This waterfall actually wasn't part of the City Garden and wasn't very clean. It looked pretty and Andrew really wanted to play in it, but it was rather gross. So we let Andrew stay on the steps part for just a few minutes. Ella just posed for a picture for me.

Apple Picking. We went to Theirbach Orchards with Aunt Trisha, Uncle Nate, and Remi for some apple picking and fun. They also have corn pits, a corn maze, slides, airplanes, bikes, and bounce houses for the kids to play on. Then we get to ride on a trailer over to the apple orchard to pick our own apples. We made our first fresh apple pie with the apples we picked!
